About the Role
The Head of National Sales leads and optimises national sales performance across Pickerings Hire's full portfolio of products and services, excluding the compliant modular portfolio, which is led separately by the Head of Compliant Modular Sales.
This senior leadership role is accountable for setting and executing the national sales strategy, driving sustainable revenue and margin growth and building a high-performing, accountable sales culture. Operating as a peer to the Head of Compliant Modular Sales, the role shares accountability for overall national commercial outcomes.
You will lead a multi-region sales team, setting the standard for sales excellence, professionalism and disciplined execution. This includes embedding robust pipeline management and forecasting, growing and retaining key national and commercial accounts and championing solution-led selling across the portfolio.
Working closely with Operations, Finance and Marketing, you will ensure strong commercial execution, pricing discipline and margin integrity. At a national and executive level, you will provide clear, data-driven insight and collaborate closely with the Head of Compliant Modular Sales to prevent channel conflict and drive long-term value through performance and collaboration.
About You
You're a senior sales leader with a strong national track record in hire or construction, known for driving revenue growth and improving margins. You've successfully led large, multi-region and/or multi-product teams and bring sharp commercial judgement with a strategic approach to sales.
You're comfortable operating in complex B2B or solution-led environments and ideally have experience managing major national accounts. A business or commercial qualification is advantageous, but your results speak louder.
Commercially astute and data-driven, you're a confident and credible leader who brings people with you. You collaborate naturally, stay focused on outcomes and operate with high integrity and accountability.
