As a Night Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals through the night, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. You will help maintain a calm, reassuring environment while delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Providing person-centred care and emotional support during night hours
2. Carrying out regular checks and responding appropriately to individual needs
3. Supporting with personal care where required
4. Maintaining accurate records and clear handovers for day staff
5. Ensuring the safety and security of the service overnight
6. Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality care

About You

You will be a compassionate, reliable and patient individual who is comfortable working night shifts and understands the importance of creating a safe and reassuring environment. You may already have experience in a care or support role, or be motivated to begin a career in care, with a calm approach, good communication skills and a commitment to person-centred practice. You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards it, and be committed to upholding professional standards and values.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. 

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
