Senior Risk & Control Advisor Tachbrook Park, Warwick (Hybrid) Secondment until October 2026 | Full-time About the role This is a great opportunity for an experienced colleague to step into a high-impact, business-facing role and play a key part in strengthening our risk and control culture across Calor. As Senior Risk & Control Advisor, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and Business Process Owners (BPOs) to review, shape, and enhance how risks and controls are identified, managed, and monitored across the organisation. The role offers strong exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to influence how we operate at a strategic level. This role would suit someone who enjoys challenging existing ways of working, improving process discipline, and turning complex risk information into clear, actionable insight. Key responsibilities Partner with BPOs to map and design business processes using BPMN. Analyse business processes to identify risks, gaps, and control weaknesses. Recommend and support the implementation of effective and proportionate controls. Define and support the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor process discipline and risk performance. Build tailored risk analyses for key processes, including Power BI dashboards to provide visibility of risk status. Develop, coordinate, and deliver Risk & Internal Control training to process owners and senior management. Act as the central point of contact for Speak-Up cases and carry out fraud investigations when assigned. Manage the GRC tool, including Segregation of Duties (SoD), firefighter users, and resolution of SoD conflicts. Coordinate the bi-annual Business Support Framework assessment across Calor. Prepare and present quarterly updates on the Risk profile to the management team. Design and promote Risk & Controls campaigns to further embed a strong risk culture. Support the development and governance of policies and process governance across the business. Liaise with SHVe on global Risk & Control activity and reporting requirements. What we’re looking for Essential: Proven experience within Calor or a strong understanding of our business processes and operating environment. Experience in Risk Management, Internal Controls, Audit, Finance, or a related area. Ability to understand, challenge, and improve business processes. Experience of process mapping, gap analysis, control design, and risk assessment. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working with senior leaders. Ability to clearly communicate complex information in a practical and engaging way. Desirable: Experience with SAP and/or the GRC tool. Ability to develop or work with dashboards (e.g. Power BI). Professional qualification or working towards one (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, CRISC, CFE, etc.). Experience supporting or leading risk, controls, or governance initiatives.
