Job Summary
We are seeking a Part Time Accounts Assistant to support our finance team with essential accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, be organised, and have experience working with various accounting software platforms. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the financial services sector while contributing to the smooth operation of our accounts department.
Duties
* Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
* Enter financial data accurately into accounting software systems such as Sage, Xero, VT Accounts or QuickBooks
* Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
* Reconcile bank statements and supplier invoices
* Maintain organised records of financial documents and correspondence
* Process Payroll and HR-related tasks
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate data entry
* Prepare reports and summaries as required for management review
Experience
* Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks
* Familiarity with data entry processes within financial services organisations
* Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general ledger management
* Experience working with Payroll software
* Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time capacity
