Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team at Clarendon House in providing enriching and engaging experiences for our residents in a care home environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the service users, particularly those in care homes and nursing facilities. This role is crucial in developing and implementing activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being among residents.
Responsibilities
* To help service users socialise within the home, providing a variety of activities catering for the different preferences of the service users.
* To plan and initiate monthly programmes and encourage service users to maintain pre-existing hobbies.
* To accompany service users, where possible, to offsite activities.
* To assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments, materials, and outings.
* To liaise and form connections with the local community.
Key Skills and Specification
* Previous experience within the care industry is ideal.
* To be highly motivated to deliver the highest standards of health and social care.
* To demonstrate the proven ability to develop and organise a range of events and activities to suit the needs of all service users.
* To be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* To encourage staff members, relatives and friends to participate in the home's activity programme.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00 per hour
