A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 9-year-old boy living in the Penarth area, I live with my parents, my older sister and younger brother. I love listening to Indian and Afghanistan songs and watching coco melon.
I have a diagnosis of ASD and significant global developmental delay; I am nonverbal with high sensory seeking behaviour. I require a high level of supervision and support to meet my daily needs safely. Personal care will be involved as I will need support with toileting.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To assess the community activities.
HOURS OF WORK
3 hours a week
RATES OF PAY
£14.25 per week and mileage allowance.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
1. Going to the park.
2. Taking me swimming.
3. I would enjoy activities like trampolining.
4. Personal care is required with toileting.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
5. Someone who has experience with my needs.
6. A firm but fair approach.
7. Someone who is reliable and punctual.
8. A driver with business class insurance.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid for four weeks in return of a pays slip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
