Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £34,627 per annum

Were looking for a skilled and motivating Service Manager to lead the operations of the Westmorland & Furness Carers Hub. This is a vital role at the heart of local support for unpaid Carers, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and making a measurable difference.
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership & Operations
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Westmorland & Furness Carers Hub.
* Oversee contract performance, service quality and achievement of outcomes.
* Drive continuous improvement, development and innovation across the service.
* Support the implementation of new contracts and service developments.
* Ensure all policies, processes, systems and equipment are fit for purpose, up to date and used correctly.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, organisational standards and best practice.
* Escalate issues promptly and provide expertise, problem-solving and support.
Finance & Resources
* Work with senior management to shape annual operational budgets.
* Manage expenditure responsibly and within budget.
* Ensure staffing levels are sufficient to meet service needs.
* Ensure HR processes, recruitment, supervision, appraisal, discipline and grievance are followed correctly.
* Support effective use of volunteers and students.
People Management
* Provide supportive line management, supervision and guidance to your team.
* Ensure staff use internal and external systems in line with protocols.
* Foster a positive, high-performing, supportive team culture.
Partnerships & Representation
* Represent the Carers Hub at Carer-specific meetings and events.
* Act as the main point of contact with commissioners.
* Provide contingency leadership support across the wider Carers Service where needed.
