Offer description

As a Video and Digital Team Apprentice, you will play an active role in supporting the creation, delivery, and optimisation of digital and video content across a wide range of marketing and communication campaigns for Broadland District Council and South Norfolk Council. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, you will contribute to the full video production process - from planning and scripting through to filming, editing, and final delivery. You will help shape creative concepts, support the development of campaign materials, and ensure all content is aligned with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and regulatory standards. In this role, you will assist in researching, preparing, and developing media messaging tailored to target audiences, as well as helping to coordinate marketing briefs and present design ideas. You will support the rollout of projects across multiple formats and channels, editing and updating designs, videos, and animations to maintain consistency and high production values. You will also help evaluate campaign performance through data collection and analytics. Alongside content creation, you will contribute to market research, competitor analysis, supplier coordination, and budget tracking. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will develop technical skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, videography, photography, and general digital production. You will be expected to study for your Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship alongside your role; for which you will be given study time during your working hours. Closing Date: 27 March 2026 Why Join Us? We offer flexible working hours for most office-based roles, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. As part of our team, you will enjoy a range of employee benefits, including free onsite parking, employee discounts, a competitive holiday allowance, wellbeing initiatives, and the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme. You will be joining a progressive and supportive organisation that is committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve. The Councils reserve the right to close any and all vacancies at any time if there is judged to be a sufficient number of applications received. South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are committed to promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and all applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate checks for the position, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
