Overview
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Sector: FMCG – Location: Bebington, Wirral – Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 – Shift: Days & Nights.
We are recruiting for a large FMCG manufacturing site that is highly automated and high-volume, where engineering is central to performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role suits an engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias who is proactive, forward-thinking, and motivated to drive improvements, not just maintain operations. Responsibilities
* Ensure production and packaging lines run at optimal performance.
* Deliver effective reactive maintenance and carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs).
* Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing reliability and reducing downtime.
Requirements (Essential)
* Multi-skilled maintenance background (electrical or mechanical bias).
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Experience with both PPMs and reactive breakdowns.
