Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Data Journalist to join the team producing INTEREST. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high quality written content for the journal. This will include developing content ideas and news stories, extensive research to ensure accuracy and quality of information, and working with Moneyfacts Data & Analytics department to source relevant data and statistics, both current and historical. Ideally you will be knowledgeable about financial services and have already had success writing news stories in this sector.
Responsibilities
* Develop content ideas and news stories for INTEREST; produce high quality written content.
* Conduct extensive research to ensure accuracy and quality of information.
* Source relevant data and statistics, both current and historical, in collaboration with Moneyfacts Data & Analytics department.
* Take complex facts about the worlds of business, economics and finance and convey that information concisely to the audience.
* Write original and compelling copy with excellent writing skills.
* Produce high-impact communications in a range of formats.
* Support journalistic ethics and maintain good understanding of journalism ethics.
* Research and analyse historical data and identify trends; apply critical thinking skills.
* Utilise data visualisation tools as appropriate.
