Position Title: Secondary Science Teacher

Position Overview
Alba Public School is seeking a motivated and student-centered Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and rigorous instruction to elementary students while fostering a positive learning environment that supports academic growth, curiosity, and critical thinking.
Preferred Certification Areas
Candidates with elementary certification are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver effective instruction aligned with Michigan academic standards
2. Create a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
3. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools
4. Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records
5. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
6. Participate in school improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities
7. Maintain appropriate classroom management and student discipline practices
8. Serve as a positive role model for students
Qualifications
9. Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s)
10. Strong instructional and classroom management skills
11. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
12. Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
13. Coaching experience or willingness to assist with extracurricular activities is preferred, but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary and benefits will be based on education, experience, and the negotiated master agreement.
