Position Outline
We seek a Physics / Optical Engineering graduate, either directly from university or with some industry experience, to develop test solutions for advanced optical systems. This role offers the chance to apply your theoretical knowledge practically and develop your skills within a professional environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers on multiple products and technologies, focusing on the development of production test solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define testing procedures to ensure products meet customer requirements.
2. Design, develop, commission, and calibrate test equipment for efficient and cost-effective testing.
3. Conduct First Article tests and qualification activities to verify design specifications.
4. Create documentation to define and control testing processes.
5. Stay updated on current test techniques.
Personal Specification
We seek a motivated, creative, and versatile candidate responsible for developing optical test solutions to maintain our leadership in optical systems.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree in Physics or Optical Engineering.
* Strong analytical skills and practical ability with a technical background.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of optical imaging systems.
* Proficiency in PC skills, including Python and Excel Macros.
* Ability to interface hardware with PCs.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in dynamic teams and use structured problem-solving techniques.
* Ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines on product specifications and performance.
