About You About The Role Role Purpose The Clinical Lead will provide strategic and operational clinical leadership at Beaumont College, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across its educational, residential, and therapy services. The post holder will lead on clinical governance, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous professional development. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, senior leaders, and external stakeholders, the Clinical Lead will ensure effective clinical practice that enhances the health, wellbeing, and outcomes of students and individuals supported at the College. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Governance Lead, develop, and oversee clinical practices to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred care at Beaumont College. Provide professional nursing and therapy leadership, including expert guidance, supervision, and mentorship to clinical staff. Oversee clinical assessments, care planning, and risk management processes to ensure high standards of safety and care. Ensure clinical practice reflects the choices, preferences, and needs of the individuals supported. Ensure compliance with national legislation, regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC, Ofsted), and internal policies and procedures. Contribute to and, where appropriate, lead clinical forums, including nursing forums and Communities of Practice. Work in partnership with the Learning & Development team to support competency development and professional training for nurses, therapists, and support staff. Support implementation of national and internal initiatives relating to nursing, therapy, and allied health at the College. Quality, Risk, and Compliance Develop, implement, and review clinical policies and procedures in line with best practice and regulatory requirements. Lead or participate in audits, incident reviews, and investigations, ensuring shared learning and service improvement. Support Beaumont College’s leadership team and the Group Quality and Governance Director in driving forward clinical quality and safety initiatives. Provide clinical input into the assessment and transition process for students with complex health needs. Multi-disciplinary Collaboration Collaborate with nurses, therapists, educators, care teams, and external professionals to ensure integrated, holistic support. Liaise effectively with family carers, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies to maintain high standards of care and communication. Promote multi-disciplinary problem-solving and best practice sharing within the clinical and education teams. People Leadership & Development Provide leadership in the professional development of the clinical workforce at Beaumont College. Support clinical supervision, preceptorship programmes, and the performance development of clinical staff. Promote a positive culture of clinical accountability, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice. Strategic and Workforce Responsibilities Identify and assess workforce requirements within the nursing and therapy teams at Beaumont College. Support strategic planning around recruitment, training, and service development. Contribute to research, innovation, and the evaluation of clinical models and approaches used within the College. Essential Requirements Professional qualification in Nursing or Therapy with current registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC). Substantial experience in clinical leadership, ideally in educational, residential, or specialist care settings. Proven ability to implement and sustain clinical improvements aligned with governance standards. Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks relevant to education and care environments. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between Beaumont College campuses as required. Desirable Experience working in educational settings or multi-disciplinary environments. Clinical experience supporting individuals with complex medical, behavioural, or therapeutic needs.
