Interim Head of Finance - Financial Planning: an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance - Financial Planning in a Local Authority setting. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will oversee the authorities Financial Planning cycle and have overall responsibility for a team of five.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance - Financial Planning:
Support the Director Strategic Finance and Technical in managing the development and ongoing co-ordination of the Council's Medium Term Financial Strategy.
Manage and support a team of five
Ensure effective financial reporting is in place, encouraging best practice and introducing innovative ways of working.
Review and update financial planning processes and procedures to ensure they are robust and appropriate.
Provide support on the business partnering and financial improvement journey
Lead on developing, implementing, and monitoring the annual Treasury Management Strategy, including prudential indicators.
Ensure compliance with treasury policies, statutory requirements, and best practices; regularly review these policies and practices.
Responsible for managing the administration of grants within the council.
