We are seeking an inspirational educator and role model to oversee the delivery and ongoing development of Year 3 of the BM BS programme. This is an exciting role for an experienced clinical educator to help lead the advancement of the clinical practice elements of our programme by engaging with a wide range of partners. Given the shift in year 3 to more clinical workplace-based learning, the role involves supporting students in this transition.
Responsibilities
* Using experience of clinical practice, deliver and contribute to the design of high-quality, demand-driven, and student-centred taught programmes as a member of the teaching team.
* Liaising with academic and professional staff to lead the development and organisation of sufficient clinical placement capacity within Year 3 of the BM BS programme, ensuring that teaching is informative, interactive and engaging.
* Liaising with and support Module, Subject, Student Selected Component and Vertical Theme Leads to ensure delivery of curriculum and associated assessments to a high standard.
* Support the pastoral and educational needs of students in this important milestone year.
Qualifications
* A primary medical qualification and full registration with the GMC, with a current licence to practise.
* In current clinical practice within the NHS and commitment to remain in clinical practice for the duration of the KMMS contract.
* Fellowship/Membership of an appropriate Royal College.
* Current entry on the Specialist Register required to practice and maintain accreditation with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent.
