Venture Recruitment Partners are supporting a fast–paced, privately–backed SME, based in Bournemouth, with their recruitment for a newly–created Assistant Accountant position.

Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and completing regular bank, client, and control account reconciliations
* Investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner
* Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payments
* Managing debtor and creditor ledgers and ensuring balances are up to date
* Recording and maintaining prepayments and accruals in line with month–end procedures
* Reviewing employee expense claims and reconciling corporate card transactions
* Assisting with month–end journals, reconciliations, and management reporting
Experience / Qualifications
* 1 3 years experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within financial services, lending or property finance
* Experience using Xero or Sage and strong Excel or skills
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal communication
