LHH are exclusively partnering with a leading global business to find a Financial Controller. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring robust controls, and driving strategic decision-making across the organisation. The business is on a rapid growth trajectory, driven by acquisitions. Alongside other Senior Finance stakeholders you would be instrumental in assisting in M&A activities across the Group. A passion for driving continuous improvement and change by utilising automation is key. As is a desire to be involved in various global projects across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting Maintain and implement strong internal controls and financial policies, including payroll support Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and manage tax and VAT submissions Liaise with external auditors and lead statutory reporting processes Manage budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning Provide accurate and timely cash flow forecasting Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team Drive business improvement initiatives and ERP process optimisation Key Skills and Experience required ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified Strong technical IFRS knowledge and a proven track record in UK statutory accounting Experience in a large global multi-site organisation Prior exposure to M&A activities would be highly desirable Experience of leading on Audits and acting as key liaison with the external auditors Strong communication skills across Finance and senior leadership Advanced Excel and ERP optimisation skills Ambition to build a best-in-class finance function
