Interim Legal Counsel - Technology (6 - Month FTC)Office Location: London - Hybrid working Policy (2 days a week)Reporting to - Group Technology Legal Counsel About the RoleI am currently working with a sector leading, global organisation, who are seeking a commercially minded technology and procurement lawyer to join their in-house global legal team. This will be for a six-month period on a fixed-term basis. This role is designed to provide essential legal support during a period of significant technology change. You will be expected to work as part of the team on a range of technology and procurement matters, and the role is within a Group capacity for a FTSE business, which will allow you to gain significant exposure to very interesting matters. Key Responsibilities Following standard playbooks and leading the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of technology contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, NDAs, reseller and subcontractor agreements. Supporting the management of supplier relationships through work orders, change requests, and contract lifecycle management. Supporting in the drafting and maintaining internal legal documentation, including policies, procedures, playbooks, and standard templates. Supporting the monitoring legal and regulatory developments in the technology sector and advising the business on potential impacts ("horizon scanning"). Working on supporting on a wide range of ad hoc legal matters. Reporting to the Group Technology Counsel. About You Qualified solicitor in England & Wales between 1-3 years' PQE (guideline only, NQ's with significant in-house experience will also be considered) Experience working in an in-house legal team is desirable, with strong tech exposure. Willingness to learn and adapt to a wide range of different tasks. Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic legal judgment, methodical with an attention to detail Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Why Join the team?
