Would you like to join our friendly Maternity Ward Clerk team at Scarborough Hospital? In this role you will provide a wide range of Ward Clerk administrative tasks, including clerical support and reception duties within the Maternity Unit. The role is varied and busy, and as part of our team you will also provide clerical support across the wider Women’s Health department when required.
This vacancy will provide 24/7 cover to the Maternity Unit, which includes weekends and night shifts. Unsocial rates of pay apply. Full and part‑time positions available.
Responsibilities
* Provide a wide range of Ward Clerk administrative tasks, including clerical support and reception duties within the Maternity Unit.
* Provide clerical support across the wider Women’s Health department when required.
* Provide 24/7 cover to the Maternity Unit, including weekends and night shifts.
Qualifications
* Self‑disciplined, motivated and empathetic to all those you come into contact with.
* Prioritise workload, possess sound communication skills, work as part of a team, and exercise initiative within set parameters.
* Adopt the Trust’s values, demonstrate compassion, willingness to put welfare of others above own interests, and personal accountability.
* Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
