The Vacancy
At Wates Property Services (WPS), we’re committed to improving lives by maintaining and enhancing social housing communities. We’re currently looking for an organised and proactive Scheduler to join our Planned Maintenance team.
This is a key office‑based role supporting the smooth delivery of planned social housing works. You’ll be responsible for coordinating programmes, managing diaries, and working closely with operational teams to ensure works are delivered efficiently and with residents at the heart of everything we do.
Key responsibilities
1. Plan and schedule works programmes, ensuring operatives’ diaries are effectively managed
2. Coordinate labour, materials and access to support planned maintenance delivery
3. Liaise with site teams, supervisors and internal stakeholders to maintain programme accuracy
4. Monitor progress, manage changes and resolve scheduling challenges proactively
5. Ensure systems are kept up to date with accurate scheduling and planning information
6. Support operational teams to achieve productivity and service targets
About you
7. Previous experience in scheduling, planning, logistics or coordination
8. Experience within construction, property services or social housing is desirable but not essential
9. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
10. Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities
11. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment
12. Strong IT skills and experience using scheduling or planning systems
