We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities, Health & Safety Manager to join our team. This position is well-suited to a proactive and detail-focused professional who thrives on keeping workplaces safe, efficient, and compliant. This on-site role is based in our Operations department at Evesham. As a Facilities, Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of workplace safety, facilities compliance, and environmental sustainability-ensuring our people and environment remain protected and future-ready. Responsibilities: Health & Safety Compliance & Leadership: Develop and maintain Health & Safety policies in line with UK legislation (e.g. HASAWA, COSHH, RIDDOR). Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Lead fire safety planning, evacuation procedures, and safety training to embed a strong safety culture. Facilities Management & Operational Oversight : Oversee day-to-day facilities operations including maintenance, repairs, office layouts, and compliance. Manage suppliers and contractors for essential services (HVAC, electrical, fire safety) and ensure buildings are efficient, secure, and accessible. Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness : Lead the development of emergency plans and business continuity procedures. Investigate accidents and near-misses, implement preventative measures, and ensure first aid and response training is in place across the site. Environmental & Sustainability Leadership : Drive sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and energy efficiency. Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and manage risks relating to Legionella, asbestos, and chemical storage. Staff Engagement, Training & Supervision : Deliver Health & Safety training for employees and contractors. Promote active involvement in safety initiatives and committees. Supervise a facilities assistant and contractors, and support leadership with workplace safety decisions. Regulatory Reporting & Policy Management : Stay up to date with evolving legislation and ensure all practices align. Maintain accurate records of audits, incidents, and training. Ensure compliance with DSE assessments and provide thorough reporting for internal and external reviews. Requirements: Practical experience in a Health & Safety or facilities leadership role, ideally in a logistics or production environment. Strong working knowledge of UK safety legislation, building regulations, and fire safety standards. Experience managing budgets, contractors, and building compliance. Proven expertise in risk assessments, audits, and training delivery. Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills. Qualifications such as Level 6 NEBOSH Diploma and/or IWFM Level 4 are highly desirable. Familiarity with ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001 frameworks.
