Your Contribution
As an Emissions Test Engineer at MAHLE Powertrain, you will play a key role in supporting emissions testing within our Build & Test Department. You will ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the emissions testing facility, contributing directly to high‑quality test data and continuous improvement of our testing capabilities.
* Support day‑to‑day emissions testing activities, ensuring accurate data collection and high‑quality test outputs.
* Drive vehicle emissions cycles in both ambient and climatic test cells.
* Operate chassis dynamometers and emissions measurement equipment to defined procedures and standards.
* Carry out equipment and facility maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation.
* Identify and contribute suggestions for improving processes, equipment, and departmental efficiency.
* Work closely with test engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver high‑standard testing services.
* Ensure all work is performed in alignment with safety protocols and laboratory best practices.
Your Experience and Qualifications
We are seeking an organised and hands‑on engineer with strong test facility experience and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
* Experience in engineering, ideally within an automotive testing or development environment.
* Sound understanding of engine and/or vehicle testing processes, especially emissions‑related activities.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including Risk Assessments and COSHH requirements.
* Strong computer literacy and ability to work with data collection systems and test software.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* High level of motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to operational demands.
