Manual Tester- Penions
We are currently recruiting for a Manual Tester with Defined Contributions experience to join one of our insurance clients on a 6-month contract.
Inside IR35
Hybrid- 2/3 days a week onsite in Reigate.
Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the test planning process and create test cases in qTest
2. Collaborates with users to understand requirements and translate into test plans, ensuring product quality in own and other's work and using extensive testing engineering skills.
3. Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests.
4. Log and track defects using JIRA and qTest.
5. Work closely with the automation tester to share scenarios for automation and validate automated results.
6. Prepare and maintain test documentation and reports.
7. Collaborate with other teams to understand the integration testing, possible areas of risk and regression testing required.
8. Conducts training and knowledge transfer sessions on business processes.
9. Draws on internal and external practices to establish best testing practices within the team and ensures that it is shared and understood.
10. Works closely with Development, Product/Business Analysts, and other Software Engineering functions to ensure high quality on-time delivery
11. Works with the team in assessing opportunities to strengthen definition of done and get us closer to delivering working software at the end of every sprint.
12. Creates high quality acceptance tests from acceptance criteria and quality standards that help the scrum team understand the value of the user story from the user's perspective.
13. Supports team members, both locally and globally.
Experience
14. Financial Services experience. Pensions Industry or Master Trust would be beneficial.
15. Proficiency with MS Office
16. Experience in Automation Testing is required.
17. Exposure to AI technologies and testing process
18. Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Quality Centre test tools
19. Demonstrate a strong understanding of SDLC process. Experience in Agile/Scrum framework is required.
20. Creates test scenarios from functional requirements and/or User Stories using the Gherkin format
21. Intermediate skills in writing SQL
22. Manages time effectively by placing the right focus on value added operations
23. Advanced knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing
