At UK Biobank, our commitment to excellence is reflected in every process, system, and product. Join us as an Internal Quality Auditor and become a key member of our quality team, ensuring that our operations meet or exceed the highest standards.
Reporting directly to the Lead Auditor, you will conduct internal audits across all of our divisions and organisations, spanning Greater Manchester and beyond, with occasional travel to supplier sites and virtual auditing when needed.
Can you do it?
In this role, you will engage with colleagues across departments to understand their responsibilities, identify key processes and controls, evaluate compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
You will assist in developing audit plans, scheduling audits based on risk assessments, and following up to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. This position offers the opportunity to work in an environment where your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to build strong working relationships are valued and make a tangible impact on the organisation’s success.
This position is ideal for those with a background in quality assurance or internal auditing. You will bring a thorough understanding of quality management principles and standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, combined with a professional, impartial approach to auditing.

* Proven experience as an internal auditor or quality assurance professional.
* Audit trained OR experience in auditing against quality and information security standards (e.g. 9001 / 27001), or equivalent.
* Solid understanding of quality management principles, standards, and methodologies (e.g.ISO 9001 / 27001).
* Demonstrable ability to form strong and productive working relationships with
* Good technical skills (IT literacy, familiar with and able to use MS office suite for data analysis and communication) and good attention to detail.
The working pattern is Monday to Friday with shift patterns between 8:00 & 19:00 and the opportunity for hybrid working. Located in Greater Manchester (initially based in Stockport with a move to Manchester Science Park mid to late 2026).
