Our Foresters are responsible for planning and managing programmes of work including planting, harvesting and maintaining forests. The teams also manage habitats and visitor attractions whilst ensuring efficient timber supply to customers. The three posts included in this recruitment are Harvesting focussed but we welcome applications from people interested in Forest Management positions, there may be other opportunities available in the near future.
The North Region team of 135 people manage almost 137,000 ha of land, with huge variety and potential, spread all the way from Cairngorms to Skye in the West and Caithness in the North. These roles will enable the region to deliver a felling programme of 550k m3 and 1000ha of restocking.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in forestry or related land management work and managing teams.
