About Norwich High School for Girls
Norwich High School for Girls is an independent day school for girls from 3‑18 with approximately 600 pupils. The school is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the largest independent school group in the UK, and is at the forefront of education for girls.
Responsibilities
* Cover the maternity leave of the current Librarian.
* Manage the libraries in the Senior and Prep School to ensure students develop a love of reading.
* Shape the library as a welcoming space for independent study and a resource centre for academic research.
* Maintain a broad and relevant range of reading materials, reference resources and research tools.
* Supervise after‑school homework sessions (4‑6 pm) in the Senior School library under the direction of the duty member of the Senior Leadership Team.
* Role is term time only, plus five days during holidays.
Qualifications and Experience
* Passion for reading and experience inspiring students to engage with books.
* Experience managing library stock and resources.
* Understanding of how libraries support academic research.
