Our Client, Rochdale Council, is seeking a Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Officer to join their service!

Responsibilities of this role:
* Lead on safeguarding and child protection within the organisation
* Identify, record, and respond to safeguarding concerns
* Make referrals to children’s social care and other agencies
* Liaise with professionals (social workers, police, health, schools)
* Ensure policies and procedures are followed
* Support staff on safeguarding issues
* Maintain confidential records
* Promote a safe culture for children and vulnerable people
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
* Must have minimum of 3 years Post Qualifying experience working as a social worker
