* Salary: £ £13.47 per hour, £25,185 – £25,989 (pro rata)
* Hours: 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year*
* Contract: Permanent. Required from 17 November 2025
* Reference: 7843

* Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 3.15pm (30 mins lunch).

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our mixed Reception / Year 1 class.

You will:

* support the delivery of the EYFS and year 1 curriculum within the classroom and outdoor learning spaces
* assist in planning and preparing engaging learning activities tailored to early years pupils
* provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore and learn
* help to assess children's progress and report back to teachers and parents
* encourage children's social and emotional development through play and interaction
* work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure that the needs of all children are met effectively
* administer paediatric first aid when necessary (training provided)
* assist with lunch time supervision either in the hall or on the playground.

Ideally you will have:

* recent, practical, school-based experience within an EYFS and/or Year 1 classroom
* experience of planning and delivering phonics (we use Little Wandle)
* high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
* a positive attitude to every day
* a NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants would be desirable (or the equivalent experience).
