We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, requiring attention to detail and reliability.
Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring machinery, ensuring product quality, and supporting wider production operations as required.
Hourly rate:
* £12.21 per hour – First 12 weeks.
* £15.12 per hour – After 12 weeks.
Hours of Work:
* Monday to Thursday: 9:40pm – 5:50am
* Friday: 5:00pm – 10:50pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Starting, stopping, and monitoring machines throughout production runs
* Observing machine operation to detect faults.
* Removing moulded components safely and checking for defects.
* Conducting visual quality inspections on moulded parts during and after production
* Reporting equipment faults, material issues, or tooling problems to supervisors promptly
* Maintaining a clean and safe workstation in line with health & safety procedures
* Setting up and operating injection moulding machines according to production schedules
* Loading materials onto the machinery.
Additional Duties May Include:
* Carrying out visual inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
* Trimming excess plastic from moulded components.
* Assembling small plastic components.
* Working to production targets in a fast-paced environment
* Operating a small bushing press to insert metal bushes/fixings
* Inspecting finished parts and recording production volumes
* Packing finished goods.
