This rewarding position will involve providing 1:1 support for a Year 6 girl diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. The successful candidate will help her to stay focused, build confidence, and fully engage in her learning as she prepares to transition into secondary school life. The Role at a Glance: Provide consistent 1:1 support across the school day, both in lessons and unstructured times. Help the pupil with focus, organisation, and task completion in a calm and structured way. Use strategies to support her attention, regulation, and social confidence. Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning approaches. Monitor progress and share feedback to inform personalised support plans. About You: Experience supporting children with ASC and ADHD (Year 5/6 or secondary experience desirable). Skilled at scaffolding learning and providing reassurance without creating dependency. Patient, empathetic, and consistent in approach. Strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, SEN staff, and families. Able to follow direction while also taking initiative to adapt strategies when needed. Passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners to achieve their potential. What's in it for You?
