This is a permanent position. Rate of pay is £14.00 per hour. Responsibilities Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Secure cargo properly on flatbeds to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered en-route. Adhere strictly to all road safety laws and company policies during driving duties. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.Requirements Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience specialising in flatbed operations. Clean valid driving licence suitable for operating light goods vehicles (LGV) or lorries. Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
