Job summary
Are you highly organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting healthcare services behind the scenes? Simply Serve Ltd is looking for a dedicated Storekeeper to join our Estates Department at Yeovil District Hospital.
As Storekeeper, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our engineering and maintenance teams have the supplies they need to keep the hospital running smoothly. From sourcing and purchasing to stock control and supplier liaison, you'll be the go-to person for all things stores and supplies.
This position offers an additional Recruitment and Retention payment of £3,200 per annum.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
* Managing stock levels and placing timely orders for engineering supplies
* Ensuring accurate receipting, storage, and rotation of goods
* Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best value and service
* Using systems like FM First and Oracle to manage inventory and authorise payments
* Leading the annual stock take and supporting ad-hoc procurement needs
You'll collaborate closely with the Workshops Supervisor, Maintenance staff, EFM Admin team, Finance, Procurement, and external suppliers.
