About the Organisation:

Role Overview:
Lead the strategic commissioning of services, manage performance, and oversee service improvement initiatives within the delegated portfolio, which may involve budgets exceeding £200m. Collaborate with NHS Wales, Welsh Government, and other stakeholders to develop policies aligned with quality and prudent care principles.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the delegated portfolio and its work programs.
2. Develop and implement commissioning strategies aligned with regional and national priorities.
3. Provide expert advice on service planning, performance, and clinical models.
4. Engage with stakeholders to develop policies and standards ensuring high-quality, equitable services.
5. Ensure effective service specifications, standards, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Masters level education or equivalent experience in commissioning or related fields.
* Extensive senior-level experience in large, complex organizations.
* Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
