Senior Pharmacy ATO Aseptics
Location: South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (locations include Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Shipston-on-Stour, and community services).
Job Overview
The Pharmacy Department seeks enthusiastic Senior Pharmacy Assistants to support the delivery of excellent hospital pharmacy aseptic services. As a member of the Aseptic Unit at Warwick, you will prepare chemotherapy and related treatments for patients across Warwickshire while participating in an in‑house training programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare chemotherapy and related treatments within the Aseptic Unit.
* Complete an in‑house training programme covering the clean‑room environment and procedural standards.
* Report to the Lead Technician for Aseptics and collaborate with cancer and aseptics teams to deliver high‑standard aseptic services for the trust’s treatment suites and external customers.
* Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant legislation.
Key Working Relationships
* Managed by the Lead Technician – Aseptics.
* Supervises pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, senior assistants and trainees on rotation within the pharmacy aseptic unit.
* Co‑operates with all pharmacy and healthcare staff in service provision.
* Co‑operates with nursing staff on the Aylesford and Rigby Day treatment units.
* Maintains a network with counterparts in other Trusts for information exchange and idea sharing.
* Coordinates with GEH and other external customers.
