HGV Class 1 Driver – Garretts Green, West MidlandsPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Garretts Green, West Midlands .This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.This position is ideal for applicants who have worked in a previous position as a LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.Shifts:• Working Monday to Friday• Start times between 03:00 and 07:00Rates of Pay:• £16.25 per hourBenefits:As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates• Ongoing work• Weekly pay• On-site canteen• Training provided• Immediate starts• Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties:As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):• Carrying out RDC or trunking work (curtain-side, no handball required)• Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management• Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when requiredEssential Skills:To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:• A valid UK Category CE licence• A minimum of twelve months' experience driving CE vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes• A valid UK CPC card and Digi card• Good spoken and written English• Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills• A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations• Effective communication skillsDesirable Experience:• Previous commercial driving experience• Previous multi-drop delivery experienceTraining Provided• Drivers will have a short assessment before any shiftApply:If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processTPBN1_UKTJ
