About the Job you are considering:

Capgemini is hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Advisory Solutions team based in London, covering digital asset customers, both crypto native and traditional finance.

Capgemini is a senior leader within the firm who offers solutions and advice to clients in managing complex and critical Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) risk and governance issues. FCC includes Anti Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti Fraud, Investigations, and other criminal offenses affecting financial institutions or multinational corporations.


Hybrid working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.


Job Role

* Migration Delivery Lead responsible for end‑to‑end migration of ARIC fraud detection platform ensuring minimal disruption to fraud monitoring and operational processes.
* Work in teams; SME lead large and complex assignments, overseeing planning, execution, and reporting stages of multiple advisory client engagements, and manage key client accounts.
* Directors expected to have SME level knowledge across a range of FCC areas, stay informed about emerging industry and risk trends, and contribute to thought leadership and new product design.
* Focus on subject matter expertise; consultative work secondary.
* Role suited for individuals with strong AML subject matter expertise, either working in‑house or as consultants with second line or third line teams, capable of managing multiple digital asset client engagements and expanding existing client relationships.


Client Service Responsibilities

* Oversee effective planning, management, and execution of client engagements.
* Lead teams on client engagements, ensuring adequate supervision, consistent quality delivery, and on‑time, within‑budget results; address barriers to progress.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to enable open dialogue and trust.
* Provide direction to teams for evaluating client internal control structures, identifying weaknesses, assessing general risks, and determining potential impact; evaluate control mechanisms to mitigate risks.
* Offer pragmatic advice on financial services regulation implications and compliance management; respond to client needs and prioritize accordingly.


Product Knowledge and Development

* Contribute to development of cutting‑edge products and services designed to meet client needs and be scalable globally.
* Stay current with emerging regulations, regulatory drivers and business strategies to evaluate governance, risk and compliance environments across financial institutions and corporations.
* Maintain a strong professional network to stay informed about industry developments.
* Provide governance, compliance, and risk management thought leadership through external presentations, publications and speaking engagements; identify best practices internally and externally.


Leadership and Firm Governance

* Act as a mentor and coach to junior colleagues.
* Oversee technical execution of compliance, risk, and governance advisory work performed by teams within the area of responsibility.
* Develop, lead and line‑manage junior staff, and lead proposal development and client pitches.


Business Development and Growth

* Participate in business development initiatives: target external clients, attend industry conferences, draft client alerts and white papers, and engage in speaking opportunities.
* Identify sales opportunities and progress them with team members.


Knowledge and Skills Required

* Familiarity with AML second‑line controls and third‑line auditing techniques.
* Experience with digital asset products including stablecoins, and understanding of AML nuances within FCC program builds; experience with Chainalysis or TRM tools, and ability to develop investigation strategies or execute blockchain investigations.
* Understanding of evolving digital asset regulatory landscape in Europe.
* Strong leadership, people management, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to assess client requirements and develop strategic plans to design, document and deliver solutions meeting those needs; organise and manage multiple tasks in fast‑paced environment with flexibility and responsiveness.
* Experience in a financial institution or consulting firm focusing on AML and/or sanctions.
* Familiarity with sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, blockchain monitoring, SAR, KYC, risk assessments.
* Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills; identify control issues, root causes and enhancement opportunities within FCC programmes.
* Ability to identify financial crime risks in complex financial products, systems and processes.
* Resilience and adaptability on complex projects, manage resources, budgets, and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis.
* Independence, high motivation, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and motivate others; effective use of technology and structured work planning.


Job Skills

* Minimum 8-10 years in financial crime compliance, risk and governance roles, including at least two years in management or team supervisory capacity.
* Some experience in business development and direct client relationship management preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications, advanced Excel skills required; additional language skills are a plus.
* Travel capability considered advantageous, though significant travel typically not required.
