Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Assistant to support the building control service. The role is vital to the successful performance of the Building Control service, taking responsibility for the preliminary assessment, registration and technical administration of all Building Control applications, notifications, and associated communications. You will have daily contact with clients, colleagues, and members of the public.
Responsibilities
* Perform preliminary assessment, registration and technical administration of all Building Control applications and notifications.
* Provide advice and assistance to the public, professional and private individuals, companies and colleagues.
* Maintain and effectively use the IDOX Uniform database and associated ICT systems.
* Interpret legislation, technical plans and information and understand complex issues.
* Collaborate with the Building Control Manager and team to improve the quality of the built environment.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong ICT, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to interpret legislation, technical plans and complex information.
* Experience or knowledge of building control processes is preferred.
