As a Site Reliability Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Azure Cloud team, you will solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward solutions. Through code and cloud infrastructure, you will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their associated infrastructure to independently decompose and iteratively improve on existing solutions. You are a significant contributor to your team by sharing your knowledge of end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability of your application or platform.
Job responsibilities
* Guide and assist others in designing appropriate solutions and gaining consensus from peers where appropriate.
* Collaborate with software engineers and teams to design and implement deployment approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
* Design, develop, test, and implement solutions focused on availability, reliability, scalability in applications.
* Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
* Work with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex problems.
* Understand service level indicators and objectives to proactively resolve issues.
* Support the adoption of SRE best practices within your team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification in Azure Cloud concepts and practical experience.
* Proficiency in site reliability principles and implementation within Azure cloud platform.
* Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, HELM.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, PowerShell, or Go, with a good understanding of REST APIs.
* Experience with observability tools like Data Dog, Prometheus, Splunk, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Azure Monitor.
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Terraform, Jenkins.
* Azure cloud expertise in a mission-critical production environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Azure cloud certification.
* Understanding of operating systems like Windows and Linux (Red Hat / Ubuntu).
* Knowledge of .NET and SQL or other databases.
