Are you a confident communicator who thrives in a sociable, people-focused role? We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to join a well-established yet forward-thinking membership organisation who values structure, energy, collaboration and innovation in it's team.

Basic salary +commission.

The Role

This is a varied and dynamic role that will see you out and about across Hertfordshire, meeting businesses and attending events. Each day starts from the Hatfield office, where you’ll work closely with a supportive team. Each day will be different, some office based progressing sales by phone and comms, others heading out to face to face appointments or attending events. Here you will:

* Identify and convert new business opportunities
* Build strong relationships with existing members to ensure retention and upselling
* Represent the organisation at networking events, seminars, and conferences
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding service
* Use social media to engage and promote the brand

Flexibility is key here. Some events will require early starts or evening attendance, but time is taken back in lieu to maintain work-life balance and your working week is only Monday to Fridays.

Measurable Impact

Your success will be tracked through clear, achievable targets:

* Growing membership numbers by securing new members
* Retaining existing members to maintain a high retention rate
* Driving revenue through upgrades and sponsorship opportunities
* Contributing to overall team performance and shared goals

About You

* Proven experience in business development or sales
* Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel across Hertfordshire is essential)
* Comfortable using CRM systems and social media platforms
