Job responsibilities
* Provide expert diagnosis andtreatment for a range of hand and wrist conditions in community-based settings.
* Perform a wide range of handsurgeries and injections, including but not limited to, carpal tunnel release,trigger finger.
* Work autonomously with supportfrom our clinical governance and operational teams.
* Document all clinical careaccurately using Emis and adhere to HealthHarmonies clinical protocols.
* Liaise with NHS partners andGPs as needed to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals.
* Conduct comprehensive patientassessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
* Collaborate withmultidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative careand patient education.
* Contribute to clinicalgovernance activities including audits, peer reviews, and incident reporting.
* Support ongoing servicedevelopment and innovation in community surgery delivery.

Person Specification
Skills and qualities
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
Experience
* Proven experience in performing a variety of hand surgeries independently.
* Proficiency in the latest surgical techniques.
* Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
* Fellowship level training or significant experience in Hand Surgery
* Competence in performing common hand procedures under local anaesthetic.
* Experience working in community settings
* Participation in audit, teaching, or quality improvement projects
* Familiarity with Emis Web or similar electronic patient record systems
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT in Trauma & Orthopaedics surgery.
* Completion of specialty training in Orthopaedics with experience in Hand Surgery.
* Certificate in Hand Surgery BSSH/EBSQ
