Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Location: Milton Keynes Job Type: Part-Time Shifts: 12-hour shifts (9 to 9) Two shifts per week, (Sun & Weds) with opportunities for additional cover. Compensation: £11.44/hour (Minimum wage), 14 shifts Holiday and two set shifts every week plus cover. We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. Our client works in an office setting and requires assistance with daily tasks and activities. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our client's quality of life. Your responsibilities will include: Accompanying the Client Safely accompanying the client when they leave the house, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Assisting with transportation, if necessary. Prevention of trips slips or falls Personal Care: Assisting with dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Prompting the client to take Medication Ensuring the client's comfort and dignity at all times. Dealing with flare ups and sickness Basic first aid Meal Preparation and Light Housekeeping: Cooking nutritious meals based on dietary preferences and restrictions. Light cleaning and maintaining a tidy living space. tea and coffee for visitors Schedule Management: Keeping track of the client's schedule, appointments, and reminders. Coordinating with other team members and professionals involved in the client's care, such as noting appointments and keeping logs and diaries up to date. Dog Care: Walking and caring for the client's two dogs. Ensuring their well-being and exercise needs are met. Cultural Competency: Respect and understand the client's LGBTQIA identity and alternative beliefs. Creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to cover additional shifts when needed.
