Purpose of the role
The Duty Manager role is a transitional position between commercial management via the Account Management team and delivering KPIs and SLAs on the shop floor, while driving new opportunities and commercial growth at the frontline.

Responsibilities include:
* Managing team members daily, ensuring standards, service, and sales expectations are met.
* Coaching, motivating, and providing feedback to staff.
* Resolving conflicts and encouraging collaboration.
* Organising projects and delegating tasks.
* Communicating transparently and with vision.
Our structure requires flexibility to support multi-site and terminal operations. We're looking for a collaborative, hands-on, and highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can bring new ideas.
Early starts and weekend work are required.
Principal Responsibilities
Your role will be both internal and client-facing, representing the best interests of your projects and pushing your team to deliver top-tier service across key areas:
* Overseeing multiple sites at Gatwick, setting clear targets and expectations.
* Driving visible, proactive service delivery.
* Managing internal audits related to service and product knowledge.
* Resourcing and booking labour using the BJP database.
* Building new opportunities with the Account Management team and establishing new client relationships.
* Managing people processes including break management, absenteeism, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
* Supporting leadership development and succession planning.
* Assisting with events and operational setups.
* Ensuring effective communication within the team.
* Participating in SLA meetings and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
* Recognising team performance and fostering a culture of excellence.
Compliance and Other Duties:
* Supporting training, health & safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
* Undertaking any reasonable tasks as requested.
