Job Title: Locum Social Worker – Community Review Team

Contract: Ongoing | Full Time / Part Time (35 hours per week)
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Social Worker to join a Community Review Team based in the beautiful region of Lothian. This role is initially offered for 12 weeks, with a strong likelihood of extension, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact through direct payment reviews under Option 1 Self-Directed Support.
You will be primarily based at John Muir House, Haddington, with a flexible blend of office and home working. As the role involves travel across East Lothian, a full UK driving licence is essential.

What you will do:
Undertake comprehensive reviews for individuals receiving Option 1 Self-Directed Support direct payments
Assess care arrangements, ensuring support remains appropriate, effective, and outcome-focused
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality review outcomes
Produce clear, accurate documentation, including recommendations for changes or improvements to support
Communicate effectively with service users, carers, and partner agencies
Apply legislation and best practice, maintaining professional and statutory standards
