Facilities Management Apprentice - PA Media PA Media, the UK's national news agency, is looking for a Facilities Management Apprentice for its Howden, East Yorkshire location. This apprenticeship offers full-time work and dedicated study time each week. About the role The program is a 12-month placement. Primarily, you will work and develop in a facilities role but will have exposure to business support functions throughout the duration of the program to aid development of core soft skills including customer engagement, problem solving, communication, and collaboration. If you show a desire to develop and learn, you will be rewarded with a permanent role, a great start to a career at PA. You will be mentored by a senior people leader within the business, ensuring your development is tracked and consistent with the aims and values of the placement. At the end of the placement, you will be required to complete a written assessment which demonstrates a full understanding of the business area they have been assigned to and recommendations on areas where the business could improve. Work will be completed on location in PA's Howden office for training and development. What you can expect day-to-day This role involves learning on-the-job alongside the facilities team to ensure the safety and upkeep of our site. Duties include maintaining the site's appearance and assisting with fire and security systems maintenance. You'll assist with security, maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, you'll help optimise our premises, equipment, and materials for efficiency and economy.
