Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with preparing consent applications for major infrastructure projects
Taking responsibility for specific aspects of projects such as drafting reports and meeting with clients or key stakeholders
Managing the delivery of smaller projects to meet client objectives and timescales
Collaborating with town planners, engineers, environmental teams, and communication specialists
Leading the planning consenting process from feasibility, pre-application, examination, and implementation phases
Job Requirements:
Degree and/or masters in Town Planning and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)
Good knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policy
Experience producing outputs necessary for infrastructure consenting or planning policy production
Ability to develop working relationships with town planners and other disciplines both within the organisation and externally
Strong communication skills to articulate complex issues concisely, write reports, present effectively, and manage client relationships
Proven project management skills with a successful track record in planning and delivering projects or tasks
Experience in commercial and financial management for profitable project management
Business development experience, including successful bidding for work
