ABOUT US Who We Are and What We Do Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board has been established since 1996 and discharges jointly the functions of North, South and East Ayrshire Valuation authorities. Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board is a council in its own right, separate from the three Ayrshire Councils, comprising 16 members, elected councillors from each of the three authorities for which the Board has responsibility. The Board appoints the Assessor who is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll and Valuation List, these are the base documents which are required for the three Ayrshire Councils to in gather non-domestic rates and council tax. The three Councils have also appointed the Assessor to be the Electoral Registration Officer, responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Register of Electors which is essential for all Parliamentary and Local Government Elections. REQUIREMENTS This post is subject to a Level 1 Disclosure, and you may be required to meet the cost. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This post is temporary until 31/03/2026. The grade of this post is Level 3. The work style for this post is Agile worker. Agile Workers The successful candidate will primarily work from home with occasional travel within the South Ayrshire area. Frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service. The work pattern is: Flexible 21 hours during Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm and Friday 8.45am - 3.55pm
