Building Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Manager to lead our estates team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the maintenance workload of our maintenance engineers and operatives.
The role involves ensuring that the estate complies with statutory regulations and service level agreements through effective use of our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS). This includes planning and directing engineers and operatives to carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) building and fire compliance meeting locking policy and spare key safe management.
In addition to managing the maintenance workload, the Building Maintenance Manager will also plan and monitor local and national contracts, as well as being responsible for additional procurement responsibilities with local contracts.
To be successful in this role, you will have served a recognised apprenticeship and obtained a qualification in a relevant building related discipline such as Carpentry & Joinery to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You will also have experience of building maintenance and repair work in meeting fire and locking compliance, and a willingness to develop new skills in mechanical and building maintenance.
You will have evidence of your excellent organisational skills, demonstrating your ability to prioritise, forward plan and manage competing demands to ensure outputs are delivered on time. This should include works for internal resources and local/ national contracts. You will also have sound knowledge of relevant legislation including Health & Safety, Safe Systems of Work, Building and work to locking policy and spare key safe management.
