About The Role
As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high‑quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:
* Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews.
* Leading treatment planning and clinical decision‑making.
* Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs.
* Liaising with community services and external partners.
Essential – What We’re Looking For
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility).
* A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check – or willingness to undergo one as part of registration.
* Experience in adult mental health settings.
* UK Right to Work.
* A flexible, collaborative, and patient‑focused approach.
Desirable
* CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it).
