* Salary: The normal starting salary for this role is £25,750. A higher starting salary may be offered to candidates with significant and demonstrable skills and experience.

Main purpose and scope of the job:

To provide support, advice, and assistance to women, men, and their families who have experienced domestic abuse or are at risk of domestic abuse and have mental health issues/support needs.

This specialist support will enable refuges to accept people with higher mental health support needs than they can currently and support more people in the community to reduce the demand for refuge accommodation through offering direct support sessions to victims and upskilling DVA workers.

The post holder will work directly with all agencies and will increase expertise across Stop Domestic Abuse around mental health needs, raising standards, creating pathways of support, and strengthening support networks for those with multiple and complex needs, ensuring a long-term legacy for this project.

To participate in Stop Domestic Abuse’s “Front Door Service” providing initial advice, information, and guidance to victims, perpetrators, professionals, and family members.

To participate in the delivery of the out-of-hours on-call service on a rota basis.

It is essential that the post holder has a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
