Part-Time Financial Controller – Cambridge (Outskirts) – Hybrid Working We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Financial Controller to join a growing business based on the outskirts of Cambridge. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with financial laws and regulations. You will lead on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting (internal and external), and managing financial risk. Key responsibilities include: Managing billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, tax, and revenue recognition Preparing monthly financial statements and producing reports highlighting key results, trends, and forecasts Creating budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to provide insights that support strategic decision-making Overseeing the audit process and liaising with both internal stakeholders and external auditors In addition to the Financial Controller duties, the role also carries Company Secretary responsibilities. This includes advising the Board on corporate governance, legal compliance, and strategic matters, managing board meetings and shareholder communications, and ensuring all statutory filings are completed on time.
